We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies
such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.
We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as
well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and
guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.
Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.
If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact WebsiteAccess@tenethealth.com so that we may be of assistance.
If you don’t have insurance coverage, we offer alternate funding and payment plan options. Tenet Health Central Coast staff will work with you to identify financial assistance programs and insurance options available to you based on government and hospital rules and regulations.
Medical Eligibility Program (MEP) in San Luis Obispo
MEP is a hospital service provided to you at no cost. You may qualify for government programs that pay for all or part of your hospital and medical expenses. If you are under 21 or over 65 years old, have children in the household, are pregnant, potentially disabled or have been a Victim of Crime, you may qualify. Our patient advocates will assist you with the application process.
Charity care is available to patients who don’t have the means to pay for hospital expenses and don’t qualify for any government programs. You may qualify for hospital financial assistance if your household income is below 350 percent of the federal poverty limit or if your annual out of pocket medical costs exceeded 10 percent of your household income in the past 12 months.
To be considered for this assistance program, you’ll be required to provide information on your household finances through a confidential Financial Application. Documentation will be requested to verify your circumstances in order to determine eligibility. Please contact the Financial Assistance Center at (888) 233-7868, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.-6 p.m. PST for additional information.
