Sierra Vista CEO Mark Lisa recently commissioned a local artist – Steve Thomas – to put together a piece of artwork for Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. The artwork is meant to reflect Sierra Vista’s history and continued growth forward. We will be unveiling the artwork this week in our main lobby on the hospital’s 59th anniversary.
Community members and the media are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
Description of the Artwork: Juxtaposed between classic and contemporary, mid-century and modern, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center provides cutting-edge care to its communities, while still retaining the traditional small town values for which it’s been known these past 59 years. This is reflected in the rendering which strategically positions an automobile of the era of our birth, with a modern life-flight helicopter signifying our Trauma Center status and a bent for technology. The healthcare professionals pictured represent all of the professionals that are part of the Sierra Vista family. Finally, the hospital’s classic mid-century architectural styling sits at the foot of Bishop Peak, highlighting our unique and picturesque setting.
