ThinkstockPhotos-78155046Joint Replacement surgery can help relieve pain and enable individuals to live fuller, more active lives. But knowing what to expect before, during and after surgery isn’t always clear. The Joint Replacement Team at Twin Cities Community Hospital has created a new program to help educate patients who are already scheduled for or who may be considering joint replacement surgery. Understanding Hip & Knee Replacement: The First Step in Your Joint Replacement Journey is a pre-operative education class offered each month at Twin Cities. The interactive class is free to patients undergoing elective knee or hip replacement; family members and support persons are also welcome to attend.
The class is held on the second Wednesday of each month from 4:00pm-6:00pm in the Founders’ Pavilion Morgan Conference Room. Pre-registration is required. Please call (805) 434-4965 to reserve your spot.
Twin Cities Community Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® with distinction for its knee replacement program by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in disease-specific care. Twin Cities has also earned eight consecutive ‘A’ grades from The Leapfrog Group, ranking them among the safest hospitals in the United States.
